High Resolution Americana

Each of the 11 songs includes a related video that was directed by Bernard Shakey from the original idea from Gary Burden. Most of these videos have been available online at You Tube or Neil's official site.
Bonus videos include a childrens choir video of "Oh Susannah" and two different videos for "Clementine".
Sound quality is the reason to purchase this release, played through a good system it sounds like Neil and the Horse are playing this great album live in your living room.
Wish they would have included maybe a bonus song, pictures or a behind the recording video.
Great Blu-ray - Region A
The first reviewer and Amazon's discription are both wrong. This is a Region A (U.S.) disc. I have listened to the CD version many times since it's release and enjoy it more each time. I only had a few minutes to try this blu-ray to make sure it is not region B as listed. The sound is great and I look forward to enjoying the whole disc.
Slightly Disappointed
As a long time Neil Young fan, I heard a few tracks on the Americana release and decided to buy it. Knowing Neil's appreciation for quality recordings, I decided to get the blu-ray version to get the best possible sound. Unfortunately, the recording quality of this blu-ray is good, but not great and why I'm giving it 4/5 stars, instead of 5/5. The instruments and vocals are positioned too close to the center of the soundstage. The soundstage is decently large, but you get the feeling that most of the instruments and vocalists are very near each other in the center of the stage, and that the microphone's are picking up the overall loudness of the band from all sides - almost like they didn't use near-field microphones or they put one mic in the center of the room when they recorded.
The music is great, and the band is pretty tight. Young's vocals sound amazing and were recorded very well.
If anyone cares, I'm using an Anthem receiver, Paradigm Studio 20 l/r...
