Excellent
Other than the very last segment, which went a bit over the top as far as praise for Lenin went, I enjoyed this quite a bit. It feels more like a newsreel documentary than a KEN BURNS type, so it might be a bit jarring to you. It does cover most of what was going on leading up to the revolution, and covers post-revolution fairly well.
All-in-all, quite enjoyable
Unseen films from the early 20th century
An interesting documentary of it's times. More than Happy to add it to my 20th century film & documentary archive.
Excellent Archival Footage
Max Eastman's narrative may seem a bit amatuerish, but he does maintain a level of objectivity that is refreshing. Some excellent footage of one of history's most tumultuous events, without the bias it has incurred from both left and right. Definitely worth it.
